A downloadable game
A few months ago, my friend André challenged me to develop some content around 'Portuguese folklore'. He had a project in mind and the goal was to create something under 1000 words (that could be used for TTRPGs, of course). Unfortunately, the assignment never saw the light of the day...
When I saw the folklore Jam, I immediately thought about taking advantage of the written material and give it a new opportunity. So, this entry was born.
About the adventure:
- Minimalist content
- System-agnostic
- NPCs and Suggestion tables
- No AI mambo-jambo
- Available in English (EN) and Portuguese (PT)
The Bzugahs are entirely based on Portuguese Gambuzinos. The term is already synonymous with hoax or deception. Therefore, another word was adopted to avoid spoiling the adventure.

Bzugahs by c.Martins is a minimalist, system-agnostic adventure inspired by Portuguese folklore. A lot is packed into a sheet of A4 paper, with enough info to portray the setting, the characters and things to do in the session, but also room for collaborative storytelling at the table. The black and white art is amazing to look at, and really brings the setting alive. It is also very cool that the game exists in both English and Portuguese. Highly recommended!
